Laptop DC socket failures are probably the most common hardware failure on laptops. Warning -when a DC socket becomes loose, continued use may damage the motherboad beyond repair-

The process

The laptop is disassembled down to motherboard level. The damage socket is removed and a new socket is soldered into place.

Lead times

There are about forty different types of socket, all of which are kept in stock, so there are no lead times for this service.
